These are organizations or projects working to create an anti-racist society through education, creating bail funds, supporting protesters, and removing barriers to mental health.
National Bail Out is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.
ActBlue is devoted to fighting for racial justice, focused on helping low-income people, protestors and bystanders who have been unfairly arrested and must post high cash bails (another feature of our unjust system).

BEAM’s mission is to remove the barriers that Black people experience getting access to or staying connected with emotional health care and healing. They do this through healing justice based organizing, education, training, grantmaking and advocacy.
2020 election
The upcoming election is the most important of our lives. Below are politicians I truly believe in and desperately want to see win. Sister District Project is an organization that I volunteer with and deeply support. They focus explicitly on state-level races, which people often ignore on ballots. In 2019, 52.94% of their candidates and 100% of their alums won their races.
Georgette Gómez is running for Congress to stand up against Trump’s dangerous agenda and put the focus back on what working families in our community need. Georgette is running for CA’s 53rd Congressional District.
Cori Bush is a nurse, pastor, single mom, and Ferguson-made activist running to represent MO-01 in U.S. Congress.
Kara Eastman has more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofit organizations and serving local communities. Kara won the 2020 Democratic Primary by 20,000 votes and is currently set to face off against Don Bacon once more in November. Kara is running for NE’s 2nd Congressional District.
Sister District Project wins power in strategic state legislatures across the nation so that we can draw fair districts in 2021 and catalyze real progressive change for the next decade.

Hope in a Box’s mission is to help rural public schools cultivate empathy and combat prejudice by representing LGBTQ people, stories, and history in school libraries and classrooms.
Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund is committed to ending discrimination based upon gender identity and expression and to achieving equality for transgender people through public education, test-case litigation, direct legal services, and public policy efforts.
The Immigrant Defense Project works to secure fairness and justice for immigrants in the United States. They aim to abolish an immigration system that every year tears hundreds of thousands of immigrants from their homes, their families, and their communities.
